About A/Prof Ward

South African born, Rhodesian bred, A/Prof Ward trained at University of Cape Town in Biochemistry and Medicine before meeting and marrying his best friend Kathy and moving to Port Elizabeth for 10 years. In 1995 after the arrival of their 3 lovely children, he moved to specialise at the world-renowned Stellenbosch University where he obtained his Specialist and Masters degrees.


He practised in Canada for 7 years before emigrating to Australia in 2006 to establish a practice of excellence in Coffs Harbour. In addition to seeing private patients at Baringa Hospital, A/Prof Ward also has a public appointment at Coffs Harbour Health Campus and has been the head of the Obstetric and Gynaecology Department since his arrival.


He has a conjoint Associate Professor appointment at the University of NSW Rural Medical School and loves spending time with students teaching
and mentoring them in their career pursuits.

About Dr Aaron Budden

Dr Budden is a Gynaecologist who provides a broad range of minimally invasive gynaecological services in the public and private system who consults at Womens Reproductive Care, focusing on a high level of dedication to patient care.

Dr Budden completed his Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 2012 and completed his speciality training in 2018 at the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick, Sydney.  He was awarded a highly prized minimally invasive surgical fellowship through the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society and was then awarded fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists


Dr Budden has a keen interest in education and currently holds teaching appointments at the University of NSW as a Conjoint Lecturer.  He has published numerous scientific articles and presents regularly at local and international conferences.

About Dr Sharma

Dr Sharma is a general gynaecologist  who can assist with a wide range of women’s health concerns.

Her main clinical interests are benign gynaecology including menstrual disorders, fibroids, PCOS, premenstrual syndrome, management of ovarian masses in pre and post-menopausal women, colposcopy, contraception gynaecological surgery for benign conditions (such as hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, prolapse repair, vaginal hysterectomy,  medical and surgical management of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy) management of post-menopausal bleeding, management of benign vulvar disorders,


She is seeing Gynae patients each week at Womens Reproductive Care and obstetric patients in Grafton and Macksville public hospitals.


Dr Sharma moved to the UK after studying in India and completed her specialty training in 2013.  She has held various clinical lead roles and moved to Australia in 2018 to achieve a more balanced work life approach and attend to the women of the North Coast.

She has successfully completed advanced training specialty modules in benign gynaecological surgery: open and laparoscopic, hysteroscopy, early pregnancy complications and acute gynaecology and advanced labour ward practice.

Our Practice is expertly managed by our practice manager, Debra Hall, and is ably assisted by Tess, Tania, Madi, Penny & Meiema. Our lovely midwives are Cookie, Sally, Claire & Elaeth.

We are friendly, engaging, professional and love working here! We use state of the art software and our practice is warm comfortable and relaxed with a children’s play area, a TV and an aquarium!
